Midnight bangs
Last night I was soundly sleeping when some fool behind our house fired off a shotgun, not once but three times! It was pretty close for comfort and the dogs leapt onto the bed and cowered on my head. They aren't exactly kevlar, but some comfort I guess. I don't know who the fool was but guns seem to be as casual as fireworks here! Gotta love the South!

Wow - do you live out in the country or in a residential area? Are you sure they were not fireworks in celebration of the New Year?
